Well, another year and more exciting times.  I am currently unemployed.  My position was outsourced.  I was offered a position with the outsourcing company with a substantial pay cut.  I opted to take a severance package.  Any assistance in gaining employment would be greatly appreciated.  For more information you can check out the web site I set up to assist me - Job Hunt 2009

I took the month of January off, only applying to my "perfect job".  I learned the last time I switched jobs that you don't get any time off for a while.

Not working has also given me plenty of time to play World of WarCraft.  I started playing on December 2, 2006 when my son said I could try his account.  I got hooked, the game is fun and addicting.  Here is a page with my characters.

I reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate - 64 bit edition on my computer.  I took it off when I was having some issues with my games and home server.  Since then, with Vista Service Pack 1 and more mature drivers, it has come to the point where I can use it for my main OS (Operating System).

I'm currently studying to get Windows XP certified and am remembering why I hate certification tests.  If you ran the IT for a company like the questions in the test you would have a huge IT staff due to users having the ability to do way too much and no control of your data.  It is difficult having done the job in the "real world" for a while.
